Lifemode Interactive, developers of facial animation software technology, announced that LifeStudio:Head will be used in two new video game titles: Stronghold Legends and Pathologic. Stronghold Legends, developed by UK’s FireFly Studios and published by 2K Games, is a real-time strategy game that builds on the Stronghold heritage, combining beautifully crafted visuals and balanced gameplay with legends of the middle ages. Stronghold Legends follows on the back of the first two Stronghold games from FireFly Pathologic, developed by Russia’s Ice-Pick Lodge and published by Buka Entertainment, is an adventure game designed to affect the emotional and psychological state of the player. Pathologic will be published in the UK by GMX later in March. Lifemode’s multi-platform Lifestudio:Head SDK is high-end software tool for creating heads in character models, and contains a package of features and character libraries that supports Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Xbox 360 platforms. The technology allows game developers and 3D artists to create sequences in games that combine automated lip-synch with nonlinear facial animation in real-time.
