Majesco has announced that it will localize Mistwalker (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey) and AQ Interactive's forthcoming Nintendo DS RPG Away Shuffle Dungeon, the latest title from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. Majesco says players will "take control of the young hero 'Sword,' the sole resident left of the once booming Webb Village, who must rescue as many kidnapped townsfolk as possible from a mysterious unknown that has been slowly 'spiriting them away.' The game's central mechanic centers on the titular "shuffling" of dungeon prisons holding the townsfolk that reconfigures the layouts, as well as hurting Sword and any remaining dungeon survivors. Apart from Sakaguchi, a number of Square Enix and Sega collaborators will contribute to the title, including Sonic the Hedgehog character designer and Artoon founder Naoto Oshima and Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu. Said Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton, "We are very excited to be working with the collective creative talent of Hironobu Sakaguchi, Naoto Oshima and Nobuo Uematsu. Their experience creating high quality, best-selling games means that Away will be well-positioned for success when it hits retail this fall."
