Microsoft job listings have appeared online which suggest the company is ramping up work on new Xbox hardware. Spotted by a user on the Beyond3D forums, there are a number of listings on Microsoft's LinkedIn profile, including positions from the Xbox Console Architecture team. The first and perhaps most interesting listing is for "a graphics hardware architect position", a position that consists of "defining and delivering next generation console architectures from conception through implementation." Another post is advertising for a "Senior Architect and Performance Engineer" role. A "Senior Hardware Design Verification Engineer" job listing is also available, with applicants "responsible for the design verification and qualification of the Xbox console at the component, motherboard, and system levels." There is no confirmation regarding whether these listings are simply for the original Xbox 360 console or new hardware.
