Representatives from casual game advertising network Mochi Media has announced the hiring of former MySpace sales VP Carol Werner as its own VP of sales, where she will help the company grow its stable of advertisers for the various online games it feeds. Mochi said Werner most recently headed the social network giant's West Coast sales operations and was responsible for brand advertising in both online and offline programming. Werner's appointment follows the hiring of former Yahoo! VP Eric Boyd as Mochi's vice president of engineering last month. Boyd worked for Yahoo! on its membership, community and personalization platforms. Said Mochi CEO Jameson Hsu, "Carol brings knowledge, insight and leadership to Mochi Media. With her strong background at MySpace, she has the experience and background to lead us in building a world class sales team and strong advertising partnerships. We are tremendously excited about the contributions she will make."
