Side Effects Software announced Houdini Halo, a new stand-alone compositing and image editing application. The tool is a compositor that features interactive animation handles, raster support, floating-point plane support, animatable parameters, multiple views, a non-linear architecture, and a multi-format channel editor and dope sheet. Houdini Halo is multithreaded for any number of processors. Houdini Halo will be available in Q4 of 2002 for $2999, and will run on Windows, Irix, Linux, and Solaris.
