Mobile game publisher Gamevil has acquired mobile publisher and developer com2us, in a deal that brings together two leading South Korea-based game companies.

Newsbrief: Mobile game publisher Gamevil has acquired mobile publisher and developer com2us. The acquisition, agreed upon yesterday, is significant as the two companies have been major competitors based out of South Korea. Gamevil hopes the acquisition will allow the companies to be more competitive in a global market. Gamevil publishes games including the RPG Zenonia (pictured) and Baseball Superstars. com2us' games include Chronicles of Inotia and Tiny Farm. Japanese reports say Gamevil spent 70 billion won ($65.3 million) on the deal.
