Criterion Software is announcing that it has been approved by Nintendo to deliver its 3D game development toolkit -- RenderWare 3 -- as a key middleware solution for the upcoming Nintendo Gamecube platform.

RenderWare 3 is an integrated, high performance, multi-platform 3D game development toolkit. Criterion estimates RenderWare 3 offers a typical saving of 6 months in game development by allowing game developers to focus on content and gameplay rather than technology development. RenderWare 3 multi-platform support currently includes Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox, Playstation 2, PC and Dreamcast.
