Nintendo has confirmed that 3DS' digital download market, as well as its internet browser, will be ready alongside the device's launch, contrary to earlier media reports. The company told Eurogamer that both features would still require a separate update to implement, not being part of the 3DS' "initial firmware", but that the update would be ready "on day one." Users can access the 3DS' internet browser without quitting gameplay; a game in progress can be suspended so that the player can search the web for tips and tricks, for example. As for the 3DS eShop, it'll allow users to download DSiWare games, some demos and retro titles in a fashion similar to the Wii's virtual console. The 3DS will launch in North America on March 27 and in Europe on the 25. Both regions will be able to choose from the same two colors: Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue. U.S. pricing is $249.99, and European pricing is to be determined by retailers.
