Nintendo says the June results will show that 666,000 consoles were sold for the month, and claims that the figures verify that the console is "breaking down the psychological barriers between gamers and non-gamers." Its DS sold 783,300 units for the month, says the company, bringing the handheld's U.S. life-to-date total to 20.8 million. Said executive marketing VP Cammie Dunaway, “Wii was created with the goal of expanding the gaming universe through its intuitive motion-sensing controller. As we have demonstrated this week during the E3 Media & Business Summit, Wii continues to pioneer new ways for people to interact with their video games and with one another.”
