Nintendo has released an upgraded version of its Wii Fit exercise tool and fitness regimen in North America and Japan. Wii Fit Plus includes all of the content found in the previous Wii Fit title released for the Nintendo Wii console in 2008, along with a selection of new features and exercises. Using the Nintendo Wii Balance Board peripheral, players participate in a number of fitness-related games and activities. Wii Fit Plus includes 18 yoga exercises designed to improve flexibility, along with 18 exercise routines for building physical strength. Wii Fit Plus adds new features that allow players to track calorie consumption, create custom exercise routines, and weigh family pets and babies. Also packaged with Wii Fit Plus are the new minigames Skateboarding and Rhythm Kung Fu. Wii Fit Plus is available as standalone software and as a bundle packaged with the Wii Balance Board peripheral. Wii Fit Plus is scheduled for release in the UK later this month.
