Electronic Arts is collaborating with JAKKS Pacific Inc. to release a plug-and-play game system that will contain multiple titles, all stored in a controller. The product, dubbed TV Games, is expected to hit shelves this fall and hopes to offer EA Sports titles, such as Madden NFL ’95 and NHL ’95, FIFA Soccer, and Triple Play Baseball. The controller requires a hook-up to a television’s A/V outlets and batteries. JAKKS announced news of the licensing agreement today, which stipulates that it will market and distribute EA’s product. Yesterday, the company posted its financial details for Q2 2004, reporting a 49 percent increase in net sales from the previous year.
