Casual games company Oberon Media announced an agreement to license TransGaming’s SwiftShader for its Dream Day casual games, along with a deal to distribute Oberon's I-play Mac games on TransGaming's digital distribution portal GameTree Online. Oberon's multi-platform publishing division, I-play, will use SwiftShader's graphics rendering features to enhance its casual Dream Day franchise, which includes Dream Day Wedding and Dream Day Honeymoon. With the agreement, TransGaming Technology will bring I-play content to Macs using its Cider Portability Engine, which acts as a "wrapper" around game software and enables titles to run on Intel-based macs. TransGaming will also offer the Cider-powered titles on its GameTree Online distribution channel for Mac titles. I-play Dream Day Mac games are already available on the site for consumers to purchase and download. "We are very pleased to expand our existing relationship with Oberon Media to include a variety of TransGaming’s industry leading technology solutions," says TransGaming Technologies CEO and president Vikas Gupta. "Casual game publishers have begun to recognize the value of TransGaming's Cider Engine to bring their content quickly and efficiently to the growing Mac community."
