Infogrames is releasing its newest Alone in the Dark title online before its available in stores.
The company believes that the online release of Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare marks that first time a major title has been made available online before it hits store shelves, though the online-only period will last just two days. Online players will be able to rent the game for a 48-hour period through an Electronics Boutique-branded game rental website and will receive a refund of the rental price if they decide to purchase the full game.
