Paris GDC Reveals BioWare, Nvidia, Harmonix Sessions

Paris GDC organizers Connection Events and Think Services have announced its list of featured speakers and sessions, including representatives from BioWare, Acclaim, and Harmonix, for its June 23-24 conference to be held at Paris's Coeur Défense.

Paris GDC organizers Connection Events and Think Services have announced its list of featured speakers and sessions, including representatives from BioWare, Acclaim, and Harmonix, for its June 23-24 conference to be held at Paris's Coeur Défense. Paris GDC 08 will draw top developers from the European community and the rest of the world eager to learn, inspire, and network, and will present a comprehensive line-up of bilingual sessions in a full 2-day program. The key goal is to share expertise and breakthroughs in the modern multi-platformed game development ecosystem. Highlighted sessions for the upcoming conference include: * The Right Tools for the Write Job, by Mac Walters, Bioware * Your Music Is the Game: Designing PHASE, the Other Project at Harmonix, by Chris Foster, Harmonix Music Systems * The Free to Play Revolution, by Howard Marks, Acclaim * Tackling High Level, Scalable Physics for Next Generation Game Engines, by Adam Moravanszky, NVIDIA Said GDC executive director Jamil Moledina, “It’s a very exciting time right now in the game industry, as developers are creating blockbuster hits for both the core market and for those who don’t call themselves gamers. This cross-section of the sessions we intend to field in Paris should provide a taste of the range of global breakthroughs that are driving European development today.” Additional speakers and keynotes are to be added in the coming weeks, with a complete list of confirmed sessions and more information on registration available at the Paris GDC website.
