Poojyum has released Titan, a new animation editor for Maya 3.x on Windows NT/2000. Titan has several useful features, including one that allows animators to adjust the timing of their animations by the way they drag their mouse on a slider. If they drag fast, the animation becomes faster and vice-versa. In addition, users can create new animation and perform time-warps by capturing mouse movements on a slider bar. Titan also allows users to edit large motion capture data by interactively browsing through keyframes, selecting those they want to keep and discarding the rest. For control over content, Titan implements a sessions based unlimited undo/redo architecture that allows animators to browse, compare, re-arrange, restore and discard their edited animations in each session in real-time. The sessions stack can be saved and restored from the scene. Titan will license for $99 and the delivery of the commercial version begins June 1, 2001.
