The PSP continued to lead the Japanese individual platform sales charts in a stable week for Japanese hardware sales, with most major platforms seeing a slight sales decline, reports tracking firm Media Create. For the week ended October 10, the PSP topped the charts with 33,683 units sold, and the DSi and DSi LL filled out the top three with 22,301 and 21,777 units sold, respectively. While the PSP led the individual platforms list, the combined sales of the DS line reached 50,038 units, leaving the Nintendo handheld above the PSP on the combined platforms chart. Nearly all major platforms saw a slight sales drop, with the PSP experiencing the biggest drop, a roughly 3,500 unit difference from last week. The only platforms to avoid sales declines were the Xbox 360, the PS2 and the PSP go, though each platform saw only minor sales boosts. Although it only sold an additional 437 units, the PSP go saw the largest proportional sales difference, selling 57 percent more units than last week. The overall hardware sales rankings remained unchanged as sales remained stable from last week. Below are the full sales rankings from Media Create for the week ended October 10, 2010. (The second chart lumps together sales of all models in a given line of hardware.)
