Online gaming solutions provider Rebel Arts announced it would host the first public demonstrations of its Verasatile Accelerated Server Technology (VAST) at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2002, taking place March 21-23 at the San Jose Convention Center. VAST delivers fault tolerance and dynamic load balancing to improve game performance and maintain uptime, and allows 100,000 users to participate in a single universe. Rebel Arts also provides complete game hosting through its data centers to publishers and developers. In addition to premiering VAST demos, Rebel Arts will showcase the VAST Developer Box at the GDC, introducing tools to create and manage the server backend for massively multiplayer online games.
