Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. This week will bring Killzone 2 and Puzzle Quest: Galactrix stateside, along with other awaited titles like Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Legacy of Ys: Books I & II, and Peggle: Dual Shot. Gamers in the UK will soon receive Halo Wars, meanwhile, as Japan gets Ryu ga Gotoku 3 and Game Center CX: Arino no Chousenjou 2. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending February 28th, 2009. Games Released in the United States:

Killzone 2 leads this week's debuting titles, arriving as what may be this year's most anticipated PlayStation 3 release so far. The third-person shooter sequel (featuring rappers) 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand and the shoot'em-up parody Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard are set to premiere on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this week, as 360 owners additionally receive Square Enix's RPG sequel Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Wii owners can expect to see a reworked port of Dead Rising this week, while on the Nintendo DS, the awaited sequel to Puzzle Quest headlines a lineup that also includes ports for PopCap's casual hit Peggle and the classic TurboDuo RPG compilation Ys Book I & II. Games Released in Europe:

The anticipated real-time strategy title Halo Wars will make its worldwide debut in the UK this week, arriving nearly a week in advance of its scheduled U.S. release date. Other Europe-exclusive premieres set for release this week include the AQ Interactive-developed DS puzzler Boing! Docomodake DS, Namco Bandai's We Ski sequel Family Ski & Snowboard, and the PC strategy title War Leaders: Clash of Nations. Games Released in Japan:

Halo Wars is also headed to Japan this week, where it will join the visual novel port Chaos;Head Noah and Samurai Dou 3 (Way of the Samurai 3) on the Xbox 360. Sega's Yakuza series sequel Ryu ga Gotoku 3 headlines on the PlayStation 3, as Wii owners get One Piece Unlimited Cruise: Episode 2 - Mezameru Yuusha. PlayStation 2 offerings this week include SNK's classic fighter remake The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match and the adventure title Kira * Kira: Rock 'n' Roll Show. On portables, the Nintendo DS will host a sequel to Retro Game Challenge with Game Center CX: Arino no Chousenjou 2, while the PSP gets a port of Koei's Kiniro no Corda 2 f and the Sangoku Musou series spin-off Shin Sangoku Musou: Multi Raid.
