Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list. This week brings the PlayStation 3 debuts of LittleBigPlanet 2 and Mass Effect 2, while DS owners get a port of PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending January 22nd, 2011. Games Released in the United States: Nintendo Wii: - Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time (online) Xbox 360: - Mindjack PlayStation 3: - LittleBigPlanet 2 - Mass Effect 2 - Mindjack Nintendo DS: - Glory Days - Tactical Defense (DSi online) - The Mysterious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - Plants vs. Zombies - Touch 'N' Play Collection PC: - Monday Night Combat (online) - Venetica Media Molecule's DIY action game LittleBigPlanet gets a sequel this week on the PlayStation 3, arriving alongside an upgraded PS3 port of BioWare's sci-fi action-RPG Mass Effect 2. Square Enix's third-person shooter Mindjack is also set to premiere on consoles this week, as PopCap readies a Nintendo DS version of its hit tower defense title Plants vs. Zombies. Games Released in Europe: Nintendo Wii: - Tangled Xbox 360: - Mindjack PlayStation 3: - LittleBigPlanet 2 - Mass Effect 2 - Mindjack Nintendo DS: - Tangled LittleBigPlanet 2 and Mass Effect 2 will also debut in the UK this week, along with Mindjack and Disney's animated film tie-in game Tangled. Games Released in Japan: Xbox 360: - Kinect Joy Ride - Majin to Ushinawareta Oukoku PlayStation 3: - Majin to Ushinawareta Oukoku Nintendo DS: - Eigo de Tabisuru: Little Charo - Kaijuu Busters Powered - Zombie Daisuki PlayStation Portable: - Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix - Venus & Braves: Majo to Megami to Horobi no Yogen Namco's Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom gets a Japanese localization this week (as Majin to Ushinawareta Oukoku), while the Kinect's software library grows one title stronger with Kinect Joy Ride. Portable highlights for this week include ChunSoft's Pikmin-like real-time strategy game Zombie Daisuki, the Nintendo-published language trainer Eigo de Tabisuru: Little Charo, and an enhanced rerelease of Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
