Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. Metal Gear Solid 4 debuts worldwide this week on the PlayStation 3, arriving as one of the console's most anticipated titles to date. This week will also bring the U.S. debuts of Majesco's Wii-exclusive shooter Blast Works and Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, while gamers in the UK get an early look at Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending June 14th, 2008. Games Released in the United States:

Metal Gear Solid 4 makes its North American debut on the PlayStation 3 this week alongside the awaited one-on-one brawler Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit and EA's NASCAR 09. Also premiering soon is the Xbox 360 edition of 2K Sports' boxing sim Don King Presents: Prizefighter, though cross-platform ports for the title are not scheduled to arrive until later this year. Wii owners can expect to see the Kenta Cho shooter compilation Blast Works this week, while Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles and the rhythm-action title Looney Tunes: Cartoon Conductor hit the DS. Games Released in Europe:

As UK PS3 owners prepare for the impending release of Metal Gear Solid 4, sim fans will get a first look at Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, which is set to premiere in Europe weeks in advance of its planned U.S. release date. Other UK-specific premieres this week include the Nintendo DS-exclusive Soul Bubbles and CID The Dummy for the PSP. Games Released in Japan:

A slim lineup awaits gamers in Japan, with Metal Gear Solid 4 premiering as the week's sole Japanese console release. Portables see a broader selection of titles. Though the PSP will receive only a single new release in Medical 91 for Portable, the Nintendo DS is set to see the Success-published Breath: Toiki wa Akaneiro and the licensed pachinko sim Hisshou Pachinko*Pachi-Slot Kouryaku Series DS Vol. 2: CR Neon Genesis Evangelion - Shito, Futatabi, along with a variety of educational titles and brain-training software.
