Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 are set to make their North American debuts this week, arriving alongside multiplatform offerings like Valkyria Chronicles, Legendary, and Tom Clancy's EndWar. Gamers in Europe will soon see LittleBigPlanet and Professor Layton, as Japan gets Hoshi no Kirby: Ultra Super Deluxe. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending November 8th 2008. Games Released in the United States:

Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 battle it out for gritty future shooter supremacy in this week's U.S. release lineup. Sega's awaited strategy title Valkyria Chronicles will also make its North American debut this week, along with multiplatform offerings like Legendary, Tom Clancy's EndWar, and the Wal-Mart exclusive AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack. The Nintendo DS features the greatest release variety of any platform this week, with debuting titles including the comedic shooter Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ, synthesizer software Korg DS-10, puzzler Exit DS, and a broad selection of casual-oriented offerings from Eidos and Ubisoft. Games Released in Europe:

LittleBigPlanet arrives in the UK after a short delay this week, joining fellow PlayStation 3 debuts Legendary and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. This week also brings the long-awaited European debut of Nintendo's DS adventure title Professor Layton and the Curious Village, along with an early worldwide release for the wrestling sequel WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009. Games Released in Japan:

The PlayStation 2 will host this week's only Japanese console offerings in Wrestle Angels: Survivor 2 and Zero no Tsukai: Maigo no Period to Ikusen no Symphony, while other platforms come up empty. The Nintendo DS features a broad selection of new releases, meanwhile, including Hoshi no Kirby: Ultra Super Deluxe (previously released stateside as Kirby Super Star Ultra) and Square Enix's Pingu no Waku Waku Carnival!
