Silent Hill: Homecoming and Sonic Chronicles highlight this week's multiplatform U.S. lineup. Gamers in Europe will soon receive the anticipated FIFA 09, meanwhile, as Japan prepares for Jikkyou Powerful Major League 3 and Raiden IV. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending October 4th, 2008. Games Released in the United States:
Konami's awaited survival horror sequel Silent Hill: Homecoming headlines this week's North American release lineup. Also premiering on consoles this week are Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility and the cheerleading sim We Cheer on the Nintendo Wii, while Xbox 360 owners receive the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise-based Mobile Ops: The One Year War. New portable releases for this week include Natsume's Princess Debut, Xseed's action-RPG sequel Valhalla Knights 2, and the BioWare-developed Sonic the Hedgehog RPG Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. EA's soccer sim update FIFA 09 is set to make its worldwide debut across all platforms in the UK this week. European consoles will additionally host two new entries in Konami's Dancing Stage series and the action-platformer Brave: A Warrior's Tale, while portable owners receive localizations of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations and Blokus Portable: Steambot Championship. The arcade-ported shooter Raiden IV and Konami's baseball sim sequel Jikkyou Powerful Major League 3 stand out among this week's few Japanese console offerings. The PlayStation 2 sees the greatest variety of any console this week, with new debuts including the Idea Factory-developed Kanuchi: Shiroki Tsubasa no Shou and an updated version of Koei's Shin Sangoku Musou 5. A limited lineup awaits portable consoles as well. The Nintendo DS is set to receive a Toeic Test trainer title and the third-person shooter Unknown Soldier: Mokuba no Houkou, while PSP owners get To Love Ru Trouble: Doki Doki! Rinkaigakkou-Hen and the anime-licensed brawler Ikkitousen: Eloquent Fist.
