Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. This week will see the worldwide debut of The Sims 3 and the North American premieres of Fuel and Red Faction: Guerrilla. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending June 6th, 2009. Games Released in the United States: Nintendo Wii: - Go Play: Circus Star - Go Play: Lumberjacks Xbox 360: - Fuel - Red Faction: Guerrilla PlayStation 3: - Fuel - Red Faction: Guerrilla Nintendo DS: - Crazy Chicken: Atlantis Quest - Crazy Chicken: The Pharaoh's Treasure - Crazy Chicken: Star Karts - Emergency! Disaster Rescue Squad - Johnny Bravo: Date-O-Rama - Knights in the Nightmare PC: - Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned Ships - The Sims 3 - Terminator: Salvation North America's console release lineup is fairly quiet this week. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will get Codemasters' racer Fuel and THQ's sci-fi action title Red Faction: Guerrilla, as Wii owners receive the casual-oriented Go Play: Circus Star and Go Play: Lumberjacks. The big news this week is on PC platforms, where Maxis' awaited life sim franchise sequel The Sims 3 will make its debut. The title will see a near-simultaneous worldwide release, arriving in the UK and Japan within days of its U.S. premiere. Games Released in Europe: Nintendo Wii: - Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2009 - New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Xbox 360: - Red Faction: Guerrilla - Sacred 2: Fallen Angel - Star Ocean: The Last Hope PlayStation 3: - Red Faction: Guerrilla - Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Nintendo DS: - The History Channel: Great Empires -- Rome - ICO Soccer - Walk With Me! Do You Know Your Walking Routine? PlayStation Portable: - Valhalla Knights 2 PC: - Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned Ships - The Sims 3 Europe finds a limited multiplatform lineup this week, with Red Faction: Guerrilla and Star Ocean: The Last Hope serving as highlights on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The DS will host Nintendo's Walk With Me! Do You Know Your Walking Routine? (recently released stateside as Personal Trainer: Walking), while the PSP gets the action-RPG sequel Valhalla Knights 2. Games Released in Japan: Nintendo Wii: - Arc Rise Fantasia PlayStation 2: - Evangelion: Jo Nintendo DS: - Kodawari Saihai Simulation: Ocha no Ma Pro Yakyuu DS - Manepa 1000-Mannin no FX Training - Sonshi no Heihou DS PlayStation Portable: - Evangelion: Jo - Nishimura Kyoutarou Travel Mystery: Akugyaku no Kisetsu - Tokyo - Nanki Shirahama Renzoku Satsujin Jiken PC: - The Sims 3 Marvelous' action-RPG Arc Rise Fantasia and Namco Bandai's anime-based action title Evangelion: Jo will arrive as this week's only Japanese console releases. Portable offerings are similarly sparse. The Nintendo DS will host the strategy title Sonshi no Heihou DS and sports management sim Kodawari Saihai Simulation: Ocha no Ma Pro Yakyuu DS, as PSP owners receive the adventure game Nishimura Kyoutarou Travel Mystery.
