Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. This week brings Nintendo's Wii Sports Resort to North America, while Japan gets Doki Majo Plus and Gears of War 2. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending August 1st, 2009. Games Released in the United States: Nintendo Wii: - Wii Sports Resort - Zoo Vet: Endangered Animals Xbox 360: - The King of Fighters XII PlayStation 3: - The King of Fighters XII Nintendo DS: - The Humans - My Secret Diary - Rockin' Pretty - Space Bust-A-Move PC: - Aliens in the Attic - Bionic Commando - East India Company - Memento Mori - War Leaders: Clash of Nations Nintendo's anticipated Wii Sports sequel Wii Sports Resort headlines this week's multiplatform offerings in the United States. All copies of the game are bundled with the Wii MotionPlus accessory -- a peripheral that allows the Wii Remote controller to detect a wider range of movement. SNK Playmore's 2D fighter The King of Fighters XII will also soon make its North American debut, after seeing a last-minute delay last week. Other standout releases include Taito's competitive puzzler Space Bust-A-Move, the Aksys-published DS rhythm title Rockin' Pretty, and a PC port for Capcom's Bionic Commando. The Puzzle Quest-like adventure game Puzzle Kingdoms and the monster truck racer Bigfoot: Collision Course will also debut across multiple platforms in the coming week. PlayStation Portable: - Armored Core 3 Portable - Shinseiki Evangelion: Battle Orchestra Portable - To Heart 2 Portable A Japanese version of Gears of War 2 will appear on the Xbox 360 this week, arriving alongside The King of Fighters XII and 2K Sports' tennis sim Top Spin 3. Nintendo Wii releases for this week include Konami's storybook title Tele-Shibai Wii and Kyoufu Taikan: Juon, a horror-themed adventure game based on the film The Grudge. On the Nintendo DS, SNK Playmore readies the Doki Doki Majo Shinpan! remake Doki Majo Plus, while Sega offers the latest sequel in its Puyo Puyo puzzler franchise. PSP owners can expect to see a port of From Software's mech combat sim Armored Core 3, along with the arena fighter Shinseiki Evangelion: Battle Orchestra Portable.
