Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list. This week marks the Wii debut of Rock Band and the premieres of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS in North America. Gamers in Europe are set to see an early release for Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, while Japan prepares for Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk and Sengoku Basara X. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending June 28th, 2008. Games Released in the United States:

EA and Activision's popular rhythm franchises get ported to Nintendo platforms in North America this week, with the Wii receiving a version of Rock Band while DS owners prepare for the portable-exclusive Guitar Hero: On Tour. The United States will also catch up with a selection of titles recently released in Europe, including Top Spin 3, Overlord: Raising Hell and Alone in the Dark. Disney's Wall-E stands out as the most prominent of this week's multiconsole offerings, meanwhile, with a port soon to be available for all seven major platforms. Other cross-platform releases soon to hit U.S. shelves include the comic-based Hellboy: Science of Evil, the awaited FPS Battlefield: Bad Company, and the Gamecock-published Hail to the Chimp. Games Released in Europe:

This week marks the long-awaited UK release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii, which arrives in Europe several months after its worldwide debut earlier this year. The UK additionally shares this week's English-language premiere of Square Enix's Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift for the Nintendo DS, which debuts alongside Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword. Europe-exclusive multiplatform releases for this week include the olympic games tie-in Beijing 2008 and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, which will premiere in the UK days in advance of its scheduled release elsewhere in the world. Games Released in Japan:

Mobile Suit Gundam: Operation: Troy debuts exclusively on the Xbox 360 in Japan this week, arriving as what Amazon.co.jp reports to be one of its biggest current preorder sellers. Japanese Xbox 360s will additionally soon receive Battlefield: Bad Company, though the PlayStation 3 port seen in other regions this week will not arrive in Japan until August. Japanese Wii owners can look forward to the Tales of Symphonia sequel Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk, along with AQ Interactive's rhythm-based The World of Golden Eggs: Nori Nori Rhythm Kei. The PlayStation 2 is set to be the 2D fighter fan's console of choice this week, meanwhile, boasting a lineup that includes the Galaxy Fight and Waku Waku 7 compilation Sunsoft Collection, SNK's remade The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match, and Capcom's brawler-turned-fighter Sengoku Basara X.
