Following rumors that God of War designer David Jaffe would reveal particulars on his next title via its just released PS2 game Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted, new reports claim a code inserted into a video extra says the car combat title is headed to the PlayStation 3. Throughout the 'Twisted Metal: The Dark Past' video feature included with the latest game, numbers can be seen flashing behind the heads of team members at various points (pictured). Using direct number-to-alphabet replacement, reports from various internet forums have said stringing the code together reveals the message "Twisted Metal is coming on PSThree." Speaking to Gamasutra recently on the state of his new Eat Sleep Play studio, Jaffe did show a deference to Sony's console, saying "I think now we're just starting to see the idea that the PS3 is going to be capable of ultimately being the best system out there, in terms of delivering the best games and the best performance... I'm a big fan of the PlayStation 3." Jaffe's most recent work prior to the new PlayStation 2 Twisted Metal was the PS3 downloadable car combat title Calling All Cars. No official announcement has yet been made on a potential move for the Twisted Metal franchise to the console.
