UK-based Oxygen Games, developer of budget software targeted at mainstream audiences, has gone into administration, according to reports out of the UK. "We would like to confirm that Oxygen Interactive Software Ltd has been placed into administration and that we have appointed FA Simms & Partners Ltd as administrators, who will be writing to creditors as soon as possible," the company told UK site GamesIndustry.biz, confirming a report on fellow UK website MCV. In July 2008, Oxygen announced the formation of the wholly-owned U.S. branch dubbed O-Games. Oxygen's games include Safar'Wii, Music for Everyone, and Cate West: The Vanishing Files. Founded in 2004, the company is headquartered in Northamptonshire, England. The company's website says the publisher has launched "100s of products … on Sony Playstation 2, Sony Portable, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PC CD Rom." Earlier this year, the company put its London studio up for sale, and pulled out of internal game development.
