Right Hemisphere announced an agreement with Turbo Squid to make the Turbo Squid digital asset marketplace available directly from within 3D Exploration. 3D Exploration is a 3D browsing, viewing, rendering, file translation and 3D web publishing utility designed for speed and ease of use. The new version 1.8 will include a direct interface to connect users to the Turbo Squid Marketplace, which provides 3D content for use in any kind of 3D content creation. "We are delighted to be working with Turbo Squid", says Mark Thomas, President and Founder of Right Hemisphere. He goes on to say "A large proportion of 3D content creation requires models that are props or ancillary to the main project. It saves significant time for 3D artists if they can easily find and recycle existing content rather than rebuilding it. We see this as the first step in continuing collaboration between Right Hemisphere and Turbo Squid, and anticipate many other ways to offer our customers benefits from this symbiotic relationship." 3D Exploration Version 1.8 is due to ship in July '01 in three versions. A free Trialware version, a Discovery Version priced at $49, and an Enterprise version that contains all the discovery features plus translation capabilities for $ 249.
