RJ Mical, an industry veteran credited with co-inventing the Atari Lynx, co-architecting the 3DO entertainment console and was most recently vice president of software engineering at Red Jade, has joined Fathammer as the company's chief architect.
Fathammer is creating the X-Forge 3D game engine for game developers and companies in the mobile entertainment industry. The company has offices in Helsinki, Finland and San Jose, California. Mical will be responsible for designing the X-Forge's architecture and developing its interface. He will oversee the integration of third-party components as well as serve as a company spokesman and technology evangelist.
