Today's round-up deals with major Xbox Live issues for THQ's WWE Wrestlemania 21, as well as an update from Sony about the inclusion of Bangladesh in SOCOM 3. - THQ has released an update regarding a major compatibility issue with the Studio Gigante-developed Xbox wrestling game WWE Wrestlemania 21. Released this week, many users have found it impossible to reach Xbox Live using the game, due to what THQ describe as "a manufacturing error at the disc replication facility." The company further advises: "We are currently working to issue an auto update that will be available for download on Xbox Live as quickly as possible. Please be assured this is a standalone issue and we apologize for the inconvenience." - Following yesterday's news that Bangladeshi government officials were threatening to serve Sony with a lawsuit, after the company described Bangladesh as a 'terrorist state' in the forthcoming game SOCOM 3, Sony has issued a statement to consumer game site GameSpot that "we have decided to remove any reference to Bangladesh from the final version of SOCOM 3." The statement continued: "The SOCOM franchise has never depicted any government or country as a terrorist operation, and any depiction of independent terrorist groups is purely from a fictional standpoint. Within the storyline of SOCOM 3, there has never been any reference to Bangladesh supporting, or harboring terrorists and/or other criminal activities." - Also updated today: product news involving a new audio plug-in from Crysonic and info on the latest version of GDEbugger for OpenGL, as well as newly updated jobs from Microsoft, Red Storm Entertainment, Swingin' Ape Studios and Wolfpack Studios.
