Saling The World: Devil May Cry 4 Debuts Strong in Worldwide Charts

This week's charts, with data taken from February 7th, 2008, show Devil May Cry 4 debuting high in North America and the UK, while Dairantou Smash Brothers X continues to top software sales in Japan. Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. The Nintendo DS port of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games breaks into North America's top five DS sellers list this week, finishing at fourth place. Mario Party DS tumbles out of the top five, meanwhile, as last week's resupply has been completely drained. Japanese DS sales are headed by a pair of recent Konami releases: the anime and manga-based L: The Prologue to Death Note - Rasen no Wana and Houkago Shounen, which led platform sales over the previous two weeks. Meanwhile, Square Enix's DS remake of Final Fantasy IV is pushed out of the top five for the first time since its release, as the brain training software titles Takahashi Shoten Kanshuu: Saihinshutsu! and Toeic Test DS Training move in at fourth and fifth place.
