Gamasutra's weekly column, "Saling The World", covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide. This week's charts, with data taken from October 21st, 2010, find Fallout: New Vegas and Just Dance 2 heading multiplatform sales in the United States, as Super Mario Collection and Vanquish emerge as big sellers in Japan. Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. This results in a true sense of what games are selling worldwide on the real-time updated service, as follows: Multiplatform North America: 1. Fallout: New Vegas (Bethesda, X360), 2. Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft, Wii), 3. Super Street Fighter IV (Capcom, PS3), 4. Super Street Fighter IV (Capcom, X360), 5. Halo: Reach (Microsoft, X360). Japan: 1. Super Mario Collection Special Pack (Nintendo, Wii), 2. FIFA 11 World Class Soccer (EA Sports, PS3), 3. Pocket Monsters Black (Nintendo, DS), 4. Pocket Monsters White (Nintendo, DS), 5. Halo: Reach drops to fifth place in today's results as demand swells for Capcom's Street Fighter IV following a recent Amazon price drop. Nintendo's Wii reissue of its Mario series compilation Super Mario Collection (Super Mario All-Stars) leads the week's results in Japan, while Fallout: New Vegas and Just Dance 2 mirror their stateside success in the UK.
