Gamasutra's weekly column, "Saling The World", covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide. This week's charts, with data taken from February 4th, 2010, find Ubisoft's Just Dance at the top of the multiplatform charts in North America and Europe, as Dragon Quest VI and God Eater head weekly sales in Japan. Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. This results in a true sense of what games are selling worldwide on the real-time updated service, as follows: Nintendo Wii North America: 1. Just Dance (Ubisoft), 2. New Super Mario Bros. Ubisoft's dancing sim Just Dance is back on top of the Wii charts in North America this week, and leads software sales across all platforms at Amazon for the second time in the last month. Just Dance also heads Wii software sales in the UK, while New Super Mario Bros. continues to top the charts in Japan. Xbox 360 North America: 1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Activision), 2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 returns to the top Xbox 360 sales spot in the United States after being overtaken by Mass Effect 2 last week. The original Mass Effect maintains strong sales, while Assassin's Creed II pushes past Army of Two: The 40th Day to take fourth place in the regional rankings. Mass Effect 2 finishes at first place in UK sales for the second week in a row, meanwhile, as Tri-Ace's RPG End of Eternity continues to lead the charts in Japan. PlayStation 3 North America: 1.
