Savannah College of Art and Design is holding a telephone broadcasted roundtable talk on careers in video game and design this month. The symposium is called smART Careers Outlook Roundtable, and according to a university official, the topic of discussion for the upcoming event, the first of its kind, will be Real-Time Interactive Entertainment: Impact on Education, Employment. The teleconference is free and open to the public. Speakers for the upcoming conference include Peter Weishar, SCAD’s dean of the School of Film and Digital Media, Brenda Brathwaite, game designer and SCAD interactive design and game development professor, Bryan Godwin, a senior art director at Electronic Arts, and Scott Howard, network game product manager at Nokia. The smART Careers Outlook series will feature academic and industry thought leaders from the interactive design and game industries debating the trends, role of education, and opportunities for employment in their fields.
