Ahead of the company’s annual general meeting today, Jane Cavanagh, CEO of UK developer and publisher SCi, has issued a statement regarding the company’s performance. In the statement, she details the company’s record turnover and profit for the year, which has seen turnover increase by nine percent to £31.0 million ($58.0m) and profit before tax increase by 29 percent to £4.5 million ($8.4m). "I am pleased to report that current trading is in line with market expectations and all of the Group's plans in relation to future releases including Constantine, Overdose, Battlestations: Midway and Conflict: Global Terror remain firmly on track for the current financial year”, said Cavanagh. At the same time, the company also announced a new North American distribution deal with Take-Two Interactive for the games Conflict: Global Terror, Carmageddon and Reservoir Dogs, all of which will be published as part of Take-Two’s new 2K Games brand. This new deal does not affect existing plans for THQ to publish Constantine and Battlestations: Midway in North America. "Over the last three financial years SCi has delivered profitable growth, which has enabled the development of a strong product pipeline stretching into 2007,” added Cavanagh. “Our strategy of investing in high quality licences and products, working with the best developers and partnering with strong distributors worldwide is proving successful. The directors continue to look forward with great confidence."
