Naka is being recognized for a body of work that spans nearly 20 years. During his tenure at Sega, he has led the development of the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise, which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, and under his management, Sonicteam created many other hit titles, including Nights, Samba de Amigo,, and Phantasy Star Online. The Game Developers Conference is produced by the Gama Network, which also produces this site.
