Serious Games Interactive Releases Global Conflicts: Child Soldiers

Serious Games Interactive has released a new entry in its Global Conflicts series of educational games. Global Conflicts: Child Soldiers focuses on the role children serve in a warring Uganda. Global Conflicts: Child Soldiers is a 3D role-playing game based on personal accounts from survivors of the Ugandan civil war, during which government forces and the rebelling Lord's Resistance Army were locked in combat for two decades. The war forced an estimated 1.7 million people into refugee camps, and resulted in tens of thousands of deaths. More than 25,000 children were enlisted as soldiers during the conflict. "We want players to be able to relate to this terrifying conflict in a more personal way by looking a former child soldier in the eyes and listen to his story," said Serious Games Interactive CEO Simon Egenfeldt-Nielsen. "The game offers you a unique opportunity to experience the events that so far most people have only been able to relate to through the news." English and Danish versions of Global Conflicts: Child Soldiers are now available for download from the Global Conflicts website.
