Sony Computer Entertainment is expanding its official peripheral licensing program to include more third party manufacturers to beef up PlayStation accessory offerings, the company said Tuesday. Third party peripheral makers who are part of the official licensing program will have access to Sony technical documents used for the creation of peripherals for PlayStation hardware including PlayStation 3, PS2, PSP, and PSPgo. All products created by an official peripheral partner will sport the "Official Licensed Product" logo on the packaging. Such products will meet Sony's in-house standards for peripherals. Interested peripheral makers can obtain an official peripheral and licensing program request form at Sony's official website.
