Sony Computer Entertainment will release God of War Collection, a PS3 compilation of the series' first two titles, in digital form on the PlayStation Store to mark the release of GoW: Ghost of Sparta for PSP next month. God of War Collection first released for PS3 on a Blu-ray disc last November. Bluepoint Games ported God of War I and II from the PS2, which were originally developed by SCE Santa Monica Studios, adding high-definition graphics and trophies to the third-person action-adventure games. The compilation's disc release initially sold for $40 before receiving a price cut to $30. While SCE hasn't announced U.S. pricing for the digital download, it's revealed the remastered games will be available to buy individually in Europe for €17.99/£13.99 ($25) each, and €29.99/£23.99 ($42) as a bundle. God of War Collection for PSN won't include the bonus content (e.g. behind-the-scenes videos) that was featured in the disc release, but PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download full-game trials for each of the included titles and receive free God of War III themed skins. Sony will make God Of War Collection available on PSN starting November 2nd, timing its release with the launch of Santa Monica Studios' God Of War: Ghost of Sparta on PSP.
