Publisher SouthPeak has announced it intention to expand its portfolio of DS titles with the release of Brave: Shaman's Challenge, a story-driven puzzler from Collision Studios (300: March to Glory PSP). Few details about the game have yet been released, but it appears in part to take a page from Meteos, and SouthPeak promises the game will include "an intricate storyline and thoughtful, strategic gameplay" when it is released this summer. Players will take the role of Brave, on a "quest to protect everything he holds dear," played out on a mission based structure that sees him "mastering Shamanic Arts, learning new powers, and exploring dangerous territories." Said SouthPeak creative manager John Kaiser III, "With all the magic spells, story elements, and various types of gameplay, Shaman's Challenge is shaping up to be a considerably deep puzzle game. We want to leverage the unique controls of the platform to create an instinctive, engaging gameplay experience that fans will be able to get into instantly."
