Publisher SouthPeak Games (Two Worlds) has announced that it will be entering the Xbox Live Arcade market with the micro RC racer Things On Wheels, the second XBLA racing title from Mad Tracks developer Load Inc., also expected on PC in summer 2008. SouthPeak says the game is an "accessible, pure arcade title placing players at the helm of radio-controlled (“RC”) cars as they race through a gigantic Florida Art Deco house filled with 'tracks' comprised of everyday household items – and more." The tracks, according to the publisher, will be nonlinear and lead players from room to room in the house, saying a typical course could see a race starting in the "straightaway of the foyer, dodging the searing coils of the electric stove, catching some air to clear a stack of magazines in the way, and thousands of other possibilities." Said SouthPeak CEO Melanie Mroz, “Load Inc. wanted to do something brand new with the racing genre, and this really appealed to us. Competing with real life remote control cars is great fun, so why not do it in a videogame? [Things On Wheels] delivers the same reckless thrill.”
