Take-Two has announced that former Rockstar Games COO and former Capcom European managing director Gary Dale has joined the publisher's executive team as its vice president, to focus on new online and casual initiatives as well as pushing further into Asia and Latin America. Take-Two says Dale has served only a short stint with Rockstar, having become its COO in January of 2007. Prior to that, Dale at his post at Capcom since 2003. Dale also has a history with Take-Two itself, having served as BMG Entertainment's interactive software and video division president from 1994 to 1998, at which point it was acquired by Take-Two. Take-Two COO Ben Feder said Dale will "spearhead our efforts to explore opportunities in emerging areas such as online gaming and casual games, and in promising regions such as Asia/Pacific and Latin America." "Gary's depth of experience in the interactive entertainment industry and his long-time association with our Company make him an excellent choice to take on this new corporate Executive VP position," said Feder. "As corporate liaison to our Rockstar, 2K Games, 2K Sports and 2K Play labels, Gary also will use his expertise to ensure that we take a coordinated approach to building and growing our businesses," he concluded.
