Here's a nice bit of news to cap off your week: Game developer Adriel Wallick proposed to longtime partner (and fellow game maker) Rami Ismail today while they were playing Destiny together.

He said yes.

What makes this especially interesting is that Wallick appears to have called in help from folks on the Destiny team to set her up with a custom "proposal" emote and a "ring of eternity" artifact.

While this isn't the first time someone has popped the question using custom in-game assets (Other Ocean's Mike Mika, for example, famously hid a marriage proposal in the Game Boy Color version of Klax) it's still exceedingly rare to see one game maker propose to another in the medium that makes up a significant part of their lives.

Gamasutra wishes all the best to the newly-engaged couple, who also reportedly met playing a game -- Game Oven's personal space-invading mobile game Fingle.
