Minneapolis-based developer Last Straw Productions (Fowl Prowl) announced the third annual Independent MMO Game Developers Conference (IMGDC) for April 17 - 19, 2009. The upcoming event will move the conference from Minneapolis to Las Vegas. “Establishing IMGDC 3.0 in Las Vegas will propel growth by providing easier access, while keeping it affordable for smaller independent studios that drive innovation in this exciting game development arena," says IMGDC founder and Last Straw CEO Jonathan Stevens. Next year's IMGDC will feature industry keynotes, informal round-tables, and demo stations for independent developers to exhibit their work. In addition to covering self-funded massively multiplayer online games, the expo's scope will also be broadened to include virtual worlds. Ahead of the conference, a new community portal has been launched at the official IMGDC 3.0website, now featuring IMGDC advisor and speaker blogs as well as forums.
