THQ will exclusively license, market and distribute Austin-based Gamecock Media Group's titles in Australia and New Zealand for 2008, under the terms of a new deal the two publishers announced today. THQ Asia Pacific/Japan's senior vice president Martin Good specifically named Velvet Assassin, Hail to the Chimp, and Mushroom Men as potential titles that the company's looking to bring to Australia and New Zealand. Other released and upcoming titles in Gamecock's catalog include Insecticide, Dementium: The Ward, and Legendary. Gamecock previously announced an agreement in May granting German publisher CDV Software exclusive rights to license, market, and distribute its titles in Europe. "We’re delighted to have signed this agreement with THQ and to be able to offer our indie games to an ever wider audience," says Gamecock Media Group president Harry Miller. "By partnering with THQ in Australia we have another chance to ensure that gamers across the world can play games made by great independent developers."
