TimeGate Studios Inc., a developer of interactive entertainment software, has announced that it has licensed Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 for a next-generation title that it currently has in development. TimeGate, located in Houston, Texas, and particularly known for the Kohan series of games, is developing a next-generation title that the company claims "promises to bring fresh gameplay to help invigorate an already popular genre." The use of Unreal Engine 3 technology, according to TimeGate, plays a critical part in helping its team create content quickly and efficiently, allowing them to realize their creative vision for the game. TimeGate joins a number of recent studios signing up to use Unreal Engine 3 for next-generation development, including Midway and Microsoft Game Studios.
