Every week, sister iPhone site FingerGaming rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store, and this chart is now available on Gamasutra. This week's U.S. revenue charts see Square Enix's RPG Chaos Rings leading iPhone sales across all categories, while Telltale's Sam & Max Episode 1 enters the iPad's top ten. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 Games chart, which is ranked by sales, and therefore is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are: 1. Chaos Rings ($12.99) 2. ZombieSmash ($0.99) 3. Monopoly ($4.99) 4. Bejeweled 2 ($2.99) 5. Call of Duty: World at War Zombies ($9.99) 6. Plants vs. Zombies ($2.99) 7. Words With Friends ($2.99) 8. Angry Birds ($0.99) 9. Doodle Jump ($0.99) 10. Street Fighter IV ($0.99) Square Enix's iPhone-exclusive RPG Chaos Rings leads the App Store's sales charts in its second day of release, and finishes as this week's highest-grossing application across all categories. Gamedoctors UG's defense title ZombieSmash also makes an impressive debut this week at second place, pushing EA's chart mainstay Monopoly to third. Last week's chart champion The Sims 3 World Adventures drops out of today's top ten, as a recent content-expanding update puts Clickgamer's Angry Birds ahead of Lima Sky's Doodle Jump and Capcom's Street Fighter IV. Here are this week’s top-grossing iPad applications: 1. Real Racing HD ($9.99) 2. Plants vs. Zombies HD ($9.99) 3. Scrabble for iPad ($9.99) 4. X-Plane for iPad ($9.99) 5. Need for Speed Shift for iPad ($14.99) 6. Mirror's Edge for iPad ($12.99) 7. Sam & Max Episode 1: The Penal Zone ($6.99) 8. Labyrinth 2 HD ($7.99) 9. Command & Conquer Red Alert for iPad ($12.99) 10. Flight Control HD ($4.99) Firemint's Real Racing HD once again tops the iPad sales rankings, while Plants vs. Zombies climbs up a spot to take second place. Laminar's flight sim X-Plane also sees a surge in popularity, landing at fourth place after a sixth-place finish last week. Demand for Mirror's Edge has cooled after last week's sales increase, as Telltale's App Store debut Sam & Max Episode 1 makes its first chart appearance at seventh place.
