Every week, sister iPhone and iPad site FingerGaming rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store, and this chart is now available on Gamasutra. This week's U.S. revenue charts see Halfbrick's Monster Dash going up against Madden and Angry Birds in iPhone sales, while Salem Witch Trials remains a popular pick for iPad owners. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 Games chart, which is ranked by sales, and therefore is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are: 1. Angry Birds ($0.99) 2. Madden NFL 11 ($7.99) 3. Monster Dash ($0.99) 4. The Oregon Trail ($0.99) 5. Bejeweled 2 + Blitz ($2.99) 6. City Story (Free) 7. Tetris ($2.99) 8. Plants vs. Zombies ($2.99) 9. Fruit Ninja ($0.99) 10. Carnival Games for iPhone ($3.99) Fruit Ninja creator Halfbrick Studios claims third place in this week's chart with its recently released autoscrolling action title Monster Dash. Clickgamer's Angry Birds retakes the top spot, pushing EA's Madden NFL 11 to second place. Gameloft captures fourth place after discounting The Oregon Trail to 99 cents, as TeamLava's free-to-play City Story enters the top ten behind PopCap's Bejeweled 2. Tetris and Plants vs. Zombies remain strong sellers at seventh and eighth place, as Fruit Ninja and 2K's Carnival Games for iPhone finish out the top ten. Here are this week's top-grossing iPad applications: 1. Angry Birds HD ($4.99) 2. Madden NFL 11 for iPad ($12.99) 3. Scrabble for iPad ($9.99) 4. City Story (Free) 5. Zombie Farm (Free) 6. Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials ($9.99) 7. Plants vs. Zombies HD ($9.99) 8. Real Racing HD ($9.99) 9. Fruit Ninja HD ($4.99) 10. James Cameron's Avatar for iPad ($0.99) Angry Birds also leads game sales on the iPad, stealing the top spot away from last week's chart champion Madden NFL 11. Scrabble for iPad moves up several spots to take third, as the free-to-play social games City Story and Zombie Farm rack up enough microtransaction revenue to land at fourth and fifth. The hidden object game Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials remains a steady-selling hit for MumboJumbo, while Gameloft's discounted Avatar: The Game returns to the chart behind Real Racing HD and Fruit Ninja HD at tenth place.
