Every week, sister iPhone and iPad site FingerGaming rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store, and this chart is now available on Gamasutra. This week's U.S. revenue charts see Gameloft's Gangstar: Miami Vindication leading over The Sims 3 Ambitions on the iPhone and iPod Touch, as Pocket Frogs reports big sales on the iPad. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 iTunes game sales chart, which is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are: 1. Angry Birds ($0.99) 2. Gangstar: Miami Vindication ($6.99) 3. The Sims 3 Ambitions ($4.99) 4. Plants vs. Zombies ($2.99) 5. Bejeweled 2 + Blitz ($2.99) 6. Words With Friends ($2.99) 7. Real Soccer 2011 ($6.99) 8. Madden NFL 11 ($7.99) 9. Tetris ($2.99) 10. Street Fighter IV ($9.99) Gameloft's crime-themed adventure series returns to the charts this week with the release of Gangstar: Miami Vindication, which challenges Angry Birds for the top spot in today's rankings. Last week's chart leader, The Sims 3 Ambitions, drops to third place, as PopCap follows close behind with Plants vs. Zombies and Bejeweled 2 + Blitz. Real Soccer 2011 debuts as another top seller for Gameloft, as Capcom's Street Fighter IV enjoys brisk sales following the recent addition of two new playable characters. Here are this week’s top-grossing iPad applications: 1. Angry Birds HD ($4.99) 2. Scrabble for iPad ($9.99) 3. Plants vs. Zombies HD ($9.99) 4. Madden NFL 11 for iPad ($12.99) 5. Pocket Frogs (Free) 6. Farm Story (Free) 7. The Treasures of Montezuma HD ($4.99) 8. Zombie Farm (Free) 9. Tap Zoo (Free) 10. City Story (Free) Angry Birds HD once again leads iPad game sales in the App Store, as Scrabble for iPad and Plants vs. Zombies move up to claim second and third place. Notably, five of this week's chart spots are occupied by microtransaction-supported free downloads. NimbleBit's frog breeding title Pocket Frogs and TeamLava's farming title Farm Story take fifth and sixth place in today's rankings, as Alawar's recently released match-three puzzler The Treasures of Montezuma HD leads over Zombie Farm, Tap Zoo, and City Story at seventh place.
