Turbo Squid Announces New 3D Plug-in Collections

Turbo Squid, home of the Web's largest collection of royalty-free 3D products available for download, and worldwide publisher for the Discreet Certified 3ds max Plug-in Program ,announced the availability of four new market specific software collections. The 3D plug-in collections are designed to give 3ds max artists a set of tools specific to their needs. All collections are bound in a single DVD case and require one authorization for all tools. The collections may be purchased as a physical product or as an electronic download. Turbo Squid's Character Collection includes two Discreet Certified 3ds max Plug-ins (DCPs) for any artist who is producing high quality character animation. hairfx, sports a new anti-aliasing engine that gives artists well-rendered hair and fur. Absolute Character Tools 1.6 Pro (ACT) is a musculature system that allows artists to add realism and believability to characters. The Particle Collection includes two DCPs for creating particle effects. AfterBurn 3 has been used in films and games, and gives artists the ability to render effects including clouds, pyroclastic smoke, dust, explosions, liquid metals, water and procedurally defined solid objects (HyperSolids). Particle Flow Tools: Box 1 is a set of Particle Flow operators designed to extend Particle Flow's inherent capabilities. Written by the same developer who created Particle Flow, this set of tools shows the openness of Particle Flow. The Film and Video Collection includes four DCPs and is designed for the 3ds max artist designing visual effects for film, television and commercial work. The collection contains AfterBurn 3, for artists to create volumetric particle effects; hairfx, the hair and fur creation system; DreamScape 2.1, for creating landscapes, seascapes, skies, and outdoor lighting; and Texture Layers 2, so artists can create and animate all of their mapping channels with a single modifier. The Design Visualization Collection includes three DCPs tailored for Design Visualization professionals. rtre v1.1 is a real time rendering engine that allows artists to instantly explore or present any 3D model, however complex - from quick interactive studies to full multimedia presentations of major structures. finalToon is both a technical illustrator and a cartoon renderer for detail and effects. Texture Layers 2 is included so design visualization professionals can increase productivity.
